Hello!
I've got 9 days off from December 29th-January 6th. It's not a huge amount of time, so I'm hoping to go somewhere close-ish. I was originally planning on Thailand, and I'm still thinking about it, but I'm wondering if there's anywhere with a shorter flight that is just as warm with lovely beaches.
Any advice would be helpful! Thanks in advance! |

The mid region (Visayas) of the Philippines (Bohol, Cebu) or north eastern Mindanao (Siargao Island, Camiguin).
Beaches, lack of touts, easy access from ICN (direct flight to Cebu and easy boat/domestic flights to the final destination).

That's a Manila issue.
Gateway into Cebu and catch a flight or ferry away from the city.

I second the Phils sans the Metro Manila area. Cebu is a nice city that is close to several beautiful beaches (Malapasqua, Bantayan, Moalboal and Bohol) or try Palawan, esp. Coron.
Avoid Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. That place sucks so bad. |

The Emirates. That is exactly what I would do. |
