Hello all!

I am now having a very difficult time finding a school which will even fake showing an interest in hiring me, and I'm wondering if this is because I've had to file a complaint at the Labor Board in the past?
Is there a database that schools and recruiters can access to find out if someone has gone to Labor Board in the past?
That would give an indication that the person is not willing to pushed around by schools, that they wouldn't be passive and just accept what the hagwons will do.
Or maybe I'm too old. I've seen a recent job post which requires someone under 40 and good-looking! I guess only young and handsome(pretty for the ladies)people can speak English well enough to teach others!
I have taught at four different schools for over nine years in Korea, and I never had to give a reference, or have an education background, or a 4-6 week class language certificate to find work!

So what's going on? I know the job market in the U.S. sucks but are there really that many people willing to work in the glory that is the hagwon industry!?

There is no such database.

Korea EFL job market is flooded with applicants now. I suspect it ain't gonna get any better for next four years as the economic refuges from the US will continue to flood the market.

As for landing a job here, you just gotta be persistent in searching and applying with as many schools/recruiters as possible. Good luck!
