|
|
I've been working in Korea for several years continuously. Am now expecting to move to another country to teach. The new country requires a police check from my current country of residence (i.e. Korea).
What is the easiest way to get one of these, and how long does it take on average? I am assuming it would not contain any English and would probably have to get it translated. Anyone have experience or can recommend where to get official documents translated that won't cost a complete bloody fortune? |

I went to the main police station for my Gu, gave my details and they did it there and then. Took about 10 minutes in total (though I was there first thing in the morning).
Yes, it is all in Korean. |

I'm in a similar situation and need a Korean criminal record check as well. But I left Korea 6 years ago. Do I have to fly back to get it, and if I have to fly back does anyone know if it's quick to get after being out of country for 6 years? |

Contact the Korean embassy or a consulate in your current country. They can tell you the correct procedures. I'm not sure if the time frame will effect anything, but you won't have to fly back to Korea just for this. |
