I just want to get an idea of how many Korean-American/Canadian/Aust.... are able to find a job in Korea. I know that it's much harder for that group to get employment in Korea as an English teacher over other race. There are many reasons for this and I just wanted to see how many are out there and what you believe these reasons to be? |

There seems to be a lot more positions being posted for Kypos now than there used to be. An interesting question though. |

Gyopos are in high demand at leading test preparation hagwons in the greater Seoul area.
Conversation oriented hagwons definately prefer caucasians over gyopos, but test prep hagwons generally only hire gyopos.
Test prep hagwons also pay much better than conversation hagwons, often 2-3 times better. |

Oh really? I have a few friends from overseas looking for a job here but are having a hard time because they are gyopos... So which schools are these? Few are ready to come soon and others later in the year. It would be nice if I can provide them the school infos... |
