I was wondering if lodging a cheque from a foreign country into a Korean bank account is easy or problematic. I haven't done it before so I have no idea.
The cheque is from Ireland and I want to lodge it to my normal Korean
Nong Hyup account.
Cheers for any info. |

They will deposit it, charge you somewhere between 10-30k won as a service charge and wait anywhere from 30-60 days for the cheque to clear before you have access to the money.
If it was a money order or cashiers cheque drawn on a foreign bank then usually 14 days to clear and 10k won for the service charge.

Thanks Ttom,
I figured it would probably be a little problematic. |
