A recruiter mentioned to me once, that there are agencies here in Korea which are cropping up that offer expedited CBC services to the tune of $300 or so. Can anyone on here verify this?

You can get the apostille expedited, that is not a problem. However expedited CBC's look different qualitywise and Korean Immigration does not except them. So as for the CBC you have to do it yourself.

What you will have to do is get a FEDEX account (which is easy even with a debit card). Use FEDEX for both sending and returning (it takes 3 days for international destinations). If you are in SE Asia or China never ever use the mail, always use couriers. Now if you don't mind receiving a package say 3 months later then using the mail won't be a problem.

If you are from Canada just use http://www.reliabilityscreening.com/eng/index_eng.shtml. Go get your finger prints done at any police station, air mail them the results, and you should have your criminal record check with notary public stamp and korean consulate approval back to you in around 2- 3 weeks.

Ummm, for WHAT country? Details are important. Sorry I don't want to dig through your old posts to find out where you are from. Please, try a little harder.

For Canadians, somebody recommended Reliability Screenings. They said they used it and it was accepted. It offers a quick fingerprint check. But boy does it get expensive.

USA

I submitted an FBI CBC with the stamp in November of 2010 and have only been out of Korea for 3 weeks since. This need to repeat such a high-level check is tedious.

Two tips to make the FBI check quicker is
1) Use an apostille service to get it done.
2) Give you local congress critter a call and ask where to donate and by the way how to do you get your CRC expedite.
