This is such a rookie question but I honestly cant remember from my previous winters vacations. For SMOE, we have 21 days off that we are encouraged to use in the winter. Does that mean just business days or are weekends counted as part that 21 days?

With public schools, it only means days that school would be in session, meaning weekdays and no holidays. So in essence, you really have a whole month of vacation, if you include weekends.

Just weekdays and non-holidays.

Weekends only count in the bonus 14 days vacation you get upon completing a contract.
