There is a foreign residence tax in Ansan of approximately 5,000won - payable every year. I have not paid it, nor have any of my co-workers, for approximately 6 years without any recourse so far.

Other than the obvious answer of paying it. I am curious as to whether anyone had ever had any problems not paying it?

I never paid it nor anyone I knew. I never saw anything happen, so who knows what the penalty is...
