It's been a few years since I had to renew my F-2 visa and I forget what documents I need to prepare. If someone has recently gone through this process, could you please list what needs to be done?
thanks

Your best bet is to call 1345. |

The other option is to go over to AFEK and register. There are always other F visa holders who are renewing and up to date on what you need. |

You need to get a recent Family Registry paper from your dong office to show you're still married. They will take your fingerprints this time around (if they didn't last time).
Other than that, you're good to go. Keep in mind that the F2 has now become an F6, meaning if you get divorced, you can still stay here. |

Last time I went, they required 3 separate documents, but it was nearly a year ago and I don't have the list handy. Call first. |

Not essential. They can reuse the one on your existing ID if you want. |

1345 was helpful but they were wrong about one thing; they told me that my wife had to come with me. When I got to the immigration office we were told she didn't need to come. Wasted a few hours of her time. Also, make an appointment before you go. I was there well over 2 hours. Hate that place. |

The 1345 hotline, just like the Immigration Office itself, can produce different answers depending on who you talk to. |
