Simply after the pros and cons of living in either place. Where would you rather live? Anyone live in either place and think it's paradise/a toilet? I am at decision day and have to choose between two Public school jobs, the only difference is location. |

Suwon for me. It's way more colourful than Anyang, and Hwaseong fortress is neat. I think Suwon has a lot more history and culture presented than Anyang does, and it also has more amendities. Anyang is alright, but the only real advantage I'd say it has over Suwon is it's night life. Suwon is better in most other respects. |

No way. Anyang by far is better, but must concede I am basing this on fun, nightlife etc. Some parts of Suwon are real dumps and while there is lots of historical stuff like the fortress etc you can head there to see all that on a sunday afternoon. |

I am not into night life, nor have the need to be busy all the time, so I find that Suwon provides everything I need and enjoy. Not crowded compared to some other areas, and the sidewalks are really wide so riding a pedal bike for getting around is easy. And I enjoy the outdoors so hiking the fortress wall regularly is great exercise. As well, I live beside a large park with a lake which is wonderful for my dogs. It is a great place to have a low key lifestyle. |

Anyang is better, mainly for the nightlife, but also for its slightly shorter distance to Seoul. |

Anyang is ahead in terms of numbers, however Suwon is leading based on detailed explanation of what makes it a decent place to live! Still not completely sold on either one...whilst I don't necessarily need to have nightlife options right in front of me (I can get a cab)...I wonder if there is anything else to Anyang aside from nightlife and being close to Seoul? |

Problem is, there are like, 4 foreigners in the whole country who don't live in Seoul. Everytime I take that damn two hour subway ride into "the only city in the country," I burn with envy for the people in Anyang. Suwon is great as a city, but living in Oklahoma after Armageddon would be less lonely for a white guy.
Cheap, though. |

Suwon is great for those of us who don't need big noses around us to be happy. |

I envy you. Mind you, I get along great with Korean men. I love their whole way of thinking and acting. I get on with them way better than I ever did back home. The problem is I don't like Korean women. And there are NO non-Korean women in Suwon (except for the soulless Canadian hedonists at the Villagee), so I end up travelling to Seoul rather often. |

Generally, Anyang is full of gays, and 3D workers, whilst Suwon rules. |
