I am aware that someone with an F5 Visa is permitted to vote in local elections as long as they have had the F5 Visa for a period of 3 years or longer.

Does anyone know if the regulations have changed or will be changed that will allow us to vote in the next Presidential elections in 2017?

Thanks

That probably wont happen. They seem to follow the American system and as of now Permanent residents can't vote for President in America.

F 5 voting rights are a myth.

Trolling 101: Don't make a claim that can be easily refuted.

Foreign residents who have an F-5 visa have been able to vote since the elections of May, 2006. I was amongst the first few to exercise that right during those elections.

Yeah, this month was my second time voting as an F5... but I doubt it'll ever be possible in a presidential election here.

I'm also not holding my breath for it. Besides, I'm content with being able to vote in local elections.
