				| I have an interview with this school tonight and I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about this school. Do you know anyone that has worked there? What is Uijeongbu like?
 Any info would be appreciated.

				| I don't know anything about that school, but I've been to Uijeongbu and it's kind of like a small but nice town. It's close enough to Seoul to go on weekends and I had a friend who lived there who would come in on weekdays sometimes. | |

I wouldn't consider Uijeongbu a small town. It is bigger than most small cities in Korea.

				| I only visited one time and that's what it seemed like to me. I guess suburb is more of an appropriate word. | |

				| Well, it's good to hear that it's a larger city compared to other smaller ones. I hope this interview goes well because this place seems pretty nice. | |

				| Uijeongbu is a small (area wise) but densely populated city (~500,000 people) that sits on the northern edge of Seoul. It has a lot of military bases nearby so it kind of has a reputation of being a lite-Itaewon as you can get foreign goods pretty easily.
Sinsaege just built a beautiful new department store next to the main subway station in the city and it is having a ripple effect on the area. I see the city becoming less blue collar quite quickly.

Uijeongbu offers a lot of things to do and is really close to Seoul. It's rather urban but some parts of town can be rural and new a lite-rail line just opened this year so expect even more development.

There is a pretty active foreign community on Facebook. Lookup "Uijeongbu Crew". Uijeongbu is also part of the "Northern Alliance" ex-pat community.
