First off, I live in Songtan, near Pyongtaek in Gyeonggi. So, if you're not local, this probably doesn't apply to you. D=
The gist: I originally bought a big 16 pound bag of Purina Puppy Chow, but decided to switch my dog's food. She doesn't do well with corn and is super active, so, needed a higher-protein diet. After the gradual transition thing, I've still got a LOT of this stuff left. Since it takes months to go stale and this stuff is still perfectly good (for dogs who can tolerate corn), I feel guilty about throwing it away. I wanted to donate it but the shelter on base only accepts Science Diet (ironic, since science diet has an almost identical ingredient composition), so... Is anybody out there either feeding a stray neighborhood dog who could use it, or does anybody have a puppy who eats Purina? I'd like to give away the rest of this food so it's not wasted, I know there are a lot of hungry dogs out there. And for those worried about health, my puppy is 100% healthy, no diseases, worms, etc. and the food bag is kept stored in a dog food-only cabinet and has not come into contact with anything except the food scoop. |
