Japanese Equivilent of a goshiwon?

does anyone know what's the japanese equivilent of a goshiwon?

You mean a studio?
I guess 1K is what they call it.
That means one room with kitchen and a bathroom.

thanks ^_^

goshiwons are smaller than studios. they're basically a walk-in closet with a bed. the kitchens are shared and SOME goshiwons have their own shower and toilet depending on how much one is willing to pay. they usually run about 200K-300K weon per month.
