Hi All,
Before I get in touch with Immigration, I thought I'd ask around here for advice. Here's the scenario:
I'm extending my contract, and starting in March, I'll be splitting my time between two schools; working a day at my current school, the next at the other, and so on. This is because the company I work for is small, and the school I'm at now has low enrollment (it actually sky-rocketed for the upcoming semester, but we're still going forward with the change).
Anyway, when I worked as a regular classroom English teacher in Gangnam a few years ago, I had to teach winter and summer intensives for the district and was placed at a different school during that time. I had to get permission from my school, forms had to be filled out and filed with Immi, etc., in order to do that.
I mentioned this to my coordinator today, but she didn't seem to know what, if anything, needs to be done. She said she's going to get in touch with Immi and figure things out, but I'm wondering if anybody can shed some light on what I have to do?
Do I have to get a letter from my current school, saying they're allowing me to work at another school every other day? Any information people have will be much appreciated.

If the locations are associated with the school you signed a contract with, then I see no problems.
If they aren't, then you would need to get permission from immigration. Perhaps, they will need to add work addresses also. However, I have no personal experience in this, just what I have seen on these forums. |

Thanks for the response.
It's the same after school company, but two different elementary schools. And I should mention that my contract is with the school, not with the company that hired me.
I tried to find information in previous posts but didn't notice anything. Will have to dig a little deeper. |
