More properly I'm being asked to leave, but because of some nastiness I won't discuss I want to leave. My problems as far as I know are going to be: finding a new place to live, and finding a new job. My best question is whether it is possible to find a job on such short notice with only 3 months experience.

I would prefer to go home but since tickets are so expensive on such short notice I need to earn it. And since I'm in a jam I need to work. And since I need work NOW, I won't preclude the possibility of signing another year long contract.

I'd like to keep it above board since I want to have something to actually show for my time out here when I get back. I had this dream of having some sort of economic freedom to do what I want for a while when I go back to the states.

However I'm in a tight spot so if I need to work to make ends meet illegally so be it.

Get a letter of release from your current school. That will allow you to transfer your visa to a new job. If you have proof that your school has done anything illegal (such as nonpayment of wages) immigration may allow you to get a new job without a letter of release.

I don't think that will work out in the long run. You have two weeks to leave Korea after your last day at work (unless you get a new job). Your current employer may inform immigration that you are no longer employed.
