How are they gonna translate the N-word? I really hope my students don't see it and let that word slip at school with me.

Why?

Do your students hate you that much?

If they do, just teach them a lesson about slavery and keep them back after class for a little while - they will begin to 'better understand' slavery then Very Happy

If you make a 'big deal' out of it, they will play on that!

Of course I know it's HUGELY inappropriate for kids to use any word like that - but hey, they've got smart phones to look up words like that if they want to use them!

There is a really good dvd quality torrent online if you can't wait. It's one of those copies that are meant for critics, so the quality is really good.

Don't waste your money or even time downloading it. There is a reason this movie got snubbed and Tarantino is rumored to be on the delcine.

Here is the best review I can find that pretty much sums things up.

Quentin Tarantino no longer makes movies; he makes trailers. Django Unchained feels like a three-hour trailer for a movie that never happens, a slavery-revenge melodrama cum salt-n-pepper action film that would be awesome if it actually existed. Like so many trailers, its packed with memorable scenes that dont go anywhere, and keeps promising payoffs that remain theoretical.

Saw it while back in the states, thought it was typical Tarrantino which you either love or hate. I happen to love his style, the violence is almost comical

I find his choice of music again to be incredible between the Tupac/James Brown mashup to using Jim Croce's "I've Got A Name" to be worth the price of admission alone

The movie got a 92% on rotten tomatoes and has gotten good reviews 9 times out of ten. Looks like both of you fail lol.

Awesome movie. And despite its serious subject matter it's LOL funny. If you're not entertained by this movie you can't be entertained.

Recommended.

Red Tails was essentially just a "made for TV" movie. Just download it, although it's not that memorable.

I enjoyed Django a lot, however.

Django was okay. It just seems to just kind of joke and make slavery this entertaining thing imo. Im aware its got great reviews, and I thought it was descent, but it comes off as kinda cartoony.

I know its just a movie, but way too many people came out the movie laughing and when I think the atrocities of slavery were much more graphic and less happy endings. Not tryna be a buzzkill, but thats just my opinion.

But the actors did do a good job.
