Quick Question Regarding F2/6 Visa

Hi all. As some of you might be aware, I am returning to Korea this September. My wife now holds a Korean passport and UK passport. She has kept her Korean passport and not disclosed anything to the Korean Embassy in London.

The question I have is: Would I be able to get my F2/6 visa as a returning resident? Would immigration have anything flagged up in their records for my wife's passport?

My wife has used her passport since she has had her UK passport to travel abroad for work so it appears there are no restrictions. I am hoping that I could get my visa first and then once I have the F6 or F5 visa, my wife could renounce her Korean citizenship for British and she could get her F4 visa.

Any advice or those who could share similar experiences would be appreciated.

I am just bumping this post for an answer. I hope Ttompatz or others could give me their own opinion regarding my situation. Smile

Why would she want to give up her Korean passport to change to an F4?
She can have the best of both worlds (Korean and UK passports).

As long as she holds Korean citizenship you can get an F2/F6.
Her holding a UK passport is not relevant to the issue at this point.
(might become an issue if/when she becomes pregnant and has a boy.)

IF she does renounce her Korean citizenship and switch to an F4 then your F6 will turn into an F3 (not good).

Wise words Ttompatz. Thank you so much. Glad to know that I am still eligible for the F2 or F6. I am just hoping things will be as smooth as the last time when we moved to Korea in 2005.
