|
|
Would it be possible for a Korean phone to work in Hong Kong? I have a Galaxy S2.
I need to get in touch with some guys out there so my choices are:
a) roaming (if it even works)
b) buy a sim card - would a Korean phone accept this?
c) buy a cheap burner phone
Any suggestions? |

I think a korean phone is useless in hk if they still have those ones that are locked to one network. I would just buy a cheap phone in hk and use their sim cards in it. |

depending on what phone provider you have here there are multiple options. you can do roaming but what i tend to do (i'm on kt) is stop by their kiosk on the second floor and set up data roaming. it's 10,000 won a day for unlimited 3g data roaming. hk has excellent 3g so you can make all the skype/kakaotalk calls you want on it or message via whatever messaging app you need.
roaming is also an option for short calls. |

Cheers.
I'm on KT Olleh too so I'll have a look when I get to the airport - I presume you mean at Incheon? - hopefully everything will go well in HK. |

I'm headed to HK pretty soon for a week.
Anyone try using an SK phone there? Can the roaming be switched on at Incheon like KT?
And is that the second floor inside the departures terminal? |
