Any suggestions? My mom is visiting and we want to stay this Sat and Sunday night.
Most searches on-line are costing W165,000 or more a night.
Thanks for the tips! |

| Hotels are a massive rip off here, it's a joke. Would she be cool in a semi-classy love motel? |

When my parents visited I tried to put them up in a love motel next to where I lived, but they wouldn't let them stay there, as they were too 'wholesome' looking for the establishment.
So I ended putting them up at the Hamilton in Iteawon, which worked out great. It was the best of both worlds, as they were in the center of the city, able to take a cab or subway anywhere, and had a western style hotel at a reasonable rate, with large facilities, and english speaking stores around them.
Depends on the budget and experience you're parents want though. |

We ended up at the P and J not too far from Dongmyo. The part of town wasn't pretty, but the rooms were really nice and I booked on-line for about half of their posted rates.
Thanks for the suggestions. |

Ibis hotel in Myongdong
Toyoku-Inn Dongdaemun (bargain price if you can get an available room). Mostly Japanese customers. |

This place is decent. It is close to Seoul station.
The price is around 60,000 won per night as of a month ago.

I can second Ibis. Easy to get to most places in Seoul and some touristy stuff within walking distance as well. A newer hotel so cleaner than some and a friendly staff. |
