Emart, Walmart, Lottemart. Just about any department store has what looks like a coffee pot, but it stews imsam/ginseng roots and what not else fits your herbal fancy and ready to pour steaming hot. They are a glass 'coffeepot' with ginseng herb shaped forms on the glass. The heater contraption in which it rests, a hot plate with various controls. I was in Emart and what looked like slivers of wood were packaged and samples of the brew were available from the 'ginseng coffeepot' contraption. I've seen ginseng roots, fresh, available at the big farmer's market in the city. I know about 'chic', a vine that grows in the woods, long and spongy and draped supporting itself on and choking the trunks of other trees. I've asked the kids if their fathers use ginseng and they say he did but gave it up. Why? 'Too expensive'. For those single teachers with the budget to afford a 'ginseng coffee pot' have you got one and what are your recipes for your brews? And most importantly, do you feel like George of the Jungle since acquiring a 'ginseng coffee pot'? (until you had to stop ). |
