I left Korea on December 1st 2012 to return to NZ for summer with the intention of going back to Korea within the 90 period since I left so that I do not have to reapply for all my docs again etc.
Well I got a new job and all has been smooth sailing until now. For what ever reason it is taking a while for my Visa number to come out. When I get my visa number I will get my visa issued in NZ but this takes two days. Well, my recruiter informed me that my CRC expires March first and that I HAVE TO get to Korea before March first.

So my question is this; If I cant get my Visa in time and get to Korea before march first when my crc expires, do I have to get a new CRC done??
Surely I only have to have had my documents submitted and be issued my Visa number before march first?

Any insight would be much appreciated. I hate how everything is last minute!!! stressed**

If you are out of Korea for more than 90 days then you need a new one.

If immigration says you need a new one then you need a new one.

If the employer says they want a new one then you need a new one.

Does it really matter who wants it or why they want it?

You can get it done or you can fuss over it and lose the job.

To my mind it is not a difficult choice to make.

I have already made the decision, its not about that. I just wanted to know if the 90 day period meant I had to physically return in that time, or just get my visa number issued in that time. As it stands, I have a week to return before my documents expire, but through no fault of my own I may not get my visa before then (it takes a few days for a visa number to be issued, then a few more days to obtain the visa etc).

I just thought that it would be strange that immigration can issue me a visa number but then not allow me a visa because a few days later my documents may have expired.

Anyway, thanks for you help.

My understanding is that you have to physically be back within that time.
