|

I've been trying to purchase a digital download of BF3. I can't download it from Amazon because it is for US sales only. I've tried downloading it from the the Korean Origin store, but they won't accept my debit card or purchase through my phone. I guess my next option is to purchase the PC CDROM copies of the game and manually install it.
If I purchase the US version from a military base or Play Asia, will I be able to play it online off Origin in Korea? If anyone is playing this game in SK, what version do you have, and are you using Origin to play online?
I can't believe EA is making it so dificult for people willing to purchase their games. It's not just expats that have been complaining about this for years, buy military service members stationed abroad. |

On Amazon just make a shipping address that is in the USA. For instance I use my Korean CC and use my parents home address for shipping information. I have known people who just googled an address and used it if you are not from the US.
Hopefully you can figure it out because right now Amazon has BF3 for $12 and you can use the code CAGROCKS for an additional 25% off |

Can you play on the korean servers if you have the NA server? Is the lag okay etc? Have you ever bought from the NA origin store using a VPN?? Any advice appreciated. |

You can play on any server you want anywhere in the world. Lag is pretty bad playing on NA servers but have to sometimes if want to play with friend back home.
I have bought stuff using vpn and usa card and also bought stuff using my korean cc on korean store. |

Origin is a pain in the butt.
How can I set the store to be English here? I HATE this auto-detect language 'oh look how smart we are' BS! Let me choose, damn you!!!!
I would also like to pre-purchase BF4, but the language barrier and what cards I have is holding me back. |

I went ahead and bought a digital download card at the Yongsan electronics market. This is the version that comes with the game and all five expansion packs. The download card was in all Korean. It is also a hell of a lot cheaper than the US retail.
I downloaded the Korean version of Origin just to make sure it would work properly. When I entered the registration number and installed the game, everything was in English. The game itself and the battle log to play online is also 100 percent in English.
Just a little warning. There are two registration codes covered up the in silver paint. The second one you are supposed to put in is the one in the middle of the card where it is obvious the see. The less noticeable one is at the very top of the card. I entered the 2nd code first and was wondering why the install wasn't starting. |
