Last year there was a big fight about whether convenience stores should be allowed to sell medications like painkillers. As I recall, the pharmacist lobby won the battle, and it remained illegal for convenience stores to sell them.
I guess this law has changed though? I was just at a convenience store and saw a small rack with medications like Tylenol. I asked the clerk when they started selling that stuff, and she just gave an uncertain "a short while ago" in response.
Does anyone know when the law changed and what the story is behind it? |
