Not quite that simple.
If Korea wins tonight there will be a three way tie at the top of the group, with only the top 2 going to the next round. The tie breaker is based on run differential. Korea is in bad shape there because of their 5-0 loss to the Netherlands. Korea must win tonight's game by at least 6 runs to be assured of advancing. It's possible, but not guaranteed, that they will advance with a win by 5 runs. A win by 4 runs or less and the Korean team is eliminated.
Korea needs to win BIG or go home. |
