Last week I attended the opening home league game for FC Seoul and got talking to one of their marketing staff. He told me that they've noticed quite a lot of foreigners attend matches and he wanted to know how he could reach out to us and let us know of various offers they run.
I think basically they want to increase the number of foreign season ticket-holders they have. Basically, the standard season ticket price of 80,000 won is heavily discounted on the cost of paying for each match separately but they offer additional discounts to groups of season tickets bought by clubs or groups of friends.
Anyhow, if anyone is interested, leave a reply and I'll PM his contact details over.
Here is the email he sent me:
Hi, Daeguowl.
I'm Kim working for Marketing team of FC Seoul.
Thank You For Your favor.
We, FC Seoul are doing our best to take many spectators to Seoul Worldcup Stadium so that is why I want to contact you and many foreign people.
I will hope more foreigners who stay in Korea to live visit and enjoy FC Seoul's games.
so I need your help. If you know some know-how to take many foreigners to Stadium or know someone who can help me,
please let me know as soon as possible. Any way will be okay if that is for introducing our team and making foreigners FC Seoul's fans.
well, I don't know well how to write and how to participate in the internet site you told me.
if you can, please write some notice for foreigners.
The core of the notice is about 2010 Season ticket of FC Seoul including much benefit for foreign people in Korea such as 30% discouting, inviting his friends or wive or family at Stadium free, friendly match with Staff of FC Seoul at GS champions park,,,
Could you help me and FC Seoul make more foreigners fans and supporters?
I really hope so.
please write a notice about it and give me a chance to meet foreigners regardless of on-off line meeting.

Jeju United is unbeaten with a win and two ties including a draw at their home opener two weekends ago. Looking forward to their second home game this Sunday to lead the table.  |

can't believe you left the greater geoje area let alone the gyeongsangnam do province.
You make me sad in my insides  Oh and jeju may have a world cup stadium but gohyeon has a 6 thousand seater (we roughly counted the seats today) stadium that we can use any time we want cos it's lies bloody idle for the year other wise!! |

I've tried to enjoy the K-League but it is impossible to enjoy, it is slower than the qatari stars league  .. However I haven't seen any K-league matches for over a year so i guess I could check out a few games since I have been having problems sleeping recently 
On a side note, I do enjoy watching football leagues from around the world including, english leagues, dutch, german, spanish, italian, russian, swedish, brazilian, australian, argentinian, french, portugese, qatari, J-league, ahh I can't be bothered, I just watch as many as I can even the dreaded MLS |

Hi,
In regards the effort in trying to increase foreigner attendence, I know myself and my large group of friends would be extremely interested in attending some matches. My only question is, how often do the games sell out? I don't want to send an invite to ten people when not all of us will get into the match. Thanks!!! |

Don't worry about it. Even the national team games don't sell out.
But baseball these days, that is another story. Baseball games used to be empty, but now are pretty full, at least on weekends.
Soccer? Bring ten friends. Bring a thousand friends. You'll be fine. |

Before giving your money and supporting FC Seoul, you should be aware of who they are and why the rest of the K-League absolutely hates them.
See, I guess it's not such a big deal in American sports but FC Seoul were once based in Anyang and had a large fan base. They moved to Seoul and left Anyang without a team to support, along the same lines as the Wimbledon MK Dons fiasco in England.
Same goes for Jeju who were once based in Bucheon.
I would rather support Suwon and that is REALLY saying something! |

But don't forget they were based in Seoul before that and were mandated by the league to move to Anyang... |

Cheapest tickets cost 8,000 in the North End. You can get a 1,000won discount if you book in advance (which I believe you can do online or by visiting any GS Mart). Kick-off is at 6:00pm btw.. |

But don't forget they were based in Seoul before that and were mandated by the league to move to Anyang... |
And before that they were located in Chungcheong 
I suppose it would be kind of fun to be a supporter of a club that everyone else hates. I'll enjoy screaming 패륜 at the top of my lungs next time I see them play |
