Hey people,

Just wanted to announce that the Magpie Brewing Company is having a giveaway. Brooklyn Brewery is coming to Korea and we've got our grubby little mitts on 6 bottles(3 of the lager, and 3 of the East India Pale Ale) that we're giving away for free, before the beer is officially available. All you have to do is go to our facebook page and join our community! Facebook.com/magpiebrewing

Next week we will randomly pick 6 fans of Magpie and contact them via facebook message to come to our shop and receive their prize.

(Apologies to the mods if posting contests is not cool. I just figured it's free and it's in Korea...)

As in Brooklyn brewing is now being imported and distributed as of mid-march. A company called Liquid Assets is importing them. Check the Facebook page for updates--the importer is posting new info about the brews.

For Dark ops, sorry to tell you but I think that's only for Brooklyn employees and friends of the bar. My business partners have had it though!

as for the black ops it wasn't only limited to employees and friends, but it is damn hard to find a bottle. incredibly worth it if you can however.

Thanks for the link and kind words!

Just to let everyone know, we are opening a new expansion/location THIS SATURDAY!!! We are super excited.

The idea is more of a "late-night" deal than our current "brewshop"(which will start selling growlers *very* soon). We're going to do pizza, but it's going to take about two or three weeks to perfect some recipes; in the meantime, Linus--of Linus' Alabama Style BBQ--will be doing a pop-up/kitchen takeover EVERY WEEKEND.

Oh, AND we're going to have a new beer in about a week and a half.

If you guys come from Dave's, be sure to let us know! Unfortunately I won't be there--I'll be attending a beer festival in Seokcho, but I hope we can do a special Dave's-Only giveaway in the future. If you're into something like that, stop by and let us know!

Yeah, the mods are free to delete the post and I wouldn't blame them.

That said, I would like to think that I'm not spamming the boards at all. Also, I've been on Dave's quite a while and would just like to reach out to this community as much as possible.

Nope, it's actually Sokcho. It's a Yuja-Beer competition. Pretty small event, I think maybe 50 people got invited and I think it's going to be mostly Korean homebrewers. Wish me luck!!!

Good to learn theres some serious brewing going on in my town.

Request to jdog: please put in the urge to put on local public offerings. Sokcho is ripe for a nice little brewpub.

... & best luck!

Oh man. I'd kill to have a brewpub on the beach, or at the foot of Seoraksan (how the hell did that guy with a cafe get in there!?!)
