DESCRIPTION: Enjoy live Irish tradional and modern music. Watch traditional Irish dancing and try a few steps in the audience participation. Wear a costume on the day to be in with a chance to win some great prizes. Enjoy story telling and face painting in the Irish village. A day out for all the family. This will be the 13th year that Irish Association of Korea has organised St Patrick�s Day festivities in Seoul and the second time at the D-Cube Plaza. More event details below.

MORE FESTIVAL DETAILS:
MUSIC/DANCE PERFORMANCES: This year�s festival will concentrate on the music and dance performances which people will be familiar with from previous festivals. On the main stage proceedings will be opened by the United States 8th Army Band followed be a number of Irish and Korean acts playing traditional and contemporary music during the afternoon. There will also be demonstrations of traditional Irish dancing and a chance for the audience to participate which is always great fun (and does not require previous experience).
IRISH VILLAGE: This is separate area from the main stage which will provide a more laid back atmosphere to the excitement of the main stage. At the Irish Village you will be able to listen to Irish traditional music and try your hand at playing some instruments. You can also bring along your instrument and join in! Both adults and children can join in and learn some easy Irish dance steps. Children can also get their faces painted, grab as many St Patrick�s Day balloons as they can or enjoy storytelling with Fiona in the story telling tent. Traditional Irish food samples will also be provided in the Irish Village.
COSTUME COMPETITION: The more Irish the costume the better! The competition is free to enter and judges will be adjudicating throughout the day. Winners will be announced before the end of the day.
RAFFLE with the main prize of a pair of return flights to Dublin from Seoul (thanks to sponsors Etihad Airways). Tickets (priced at 5,000 w per ticket or 3 tickets for 10,000 w) will be sold on the day and the raffle draw will take place before the end of the festivities.
GAELIC FOOTBALL: a unique national sport from Ireland � will be hosted by the Seoul Gaels gaelic football team, one of the most successful teams in Asia.
After the main event, come along to the Bull & Barrel bar in Itaewon from 7 pm to 1 am for the official IAK Hooley. Tickets are 10,000 w and will be available at the door. There will be 2 floors of music, traditional on the second floor and a more contemporary, rock sound downstairs.
