So I had accepted a position, but just before I was set to fly out the school apparently could no longer afford another teacher. So then I was stuck with all the time and money I spent on the process apparently wasted, with a useless sticker in my passport.
My recruiter had me interview with another school and they offered me a job, which would be fine but really it doesn't seem like I can legally take it. I only have the sticker, I imagine to legally take this new job I would first need my ARC and a LOR both from the old school. Both of those take time and cooperation from the old school, but this new school wants me to start working asap and my recruiter claims they will handle the ARC and such.
None of that sounds right, and I'm worried if I fly out there as soon as I go to immigration with my new employer red flags will pop up everywhere and we'll both be in trouble.
Anyone have some information or insight concerning transferring an E2 when you hadn't worked a day with the old school? I'm asking my recruiter all these questions and more, but I have my doubts as to how concerned they are about legalities. |
