Don't need a manual.
The directions should be on the inside of the battery case of your door lock.
You'll probably need a Korean to help you read the procedure though. |

Did you ever find out the answer? I have the exact same question and the exact same (older) model. |

Gateman Rose 340 / Prime 340
Keep your door forced open and have your key fob with you during this procedure.
Password should be 4 to 12 digits, excluding * and #.
Step 1. Open the battery cover (indoors), push the 'I' button which will beep.
Step 2. Enter new password with the keypad. You have 7 seconds to do so from the moment you pushed the 'I' button.
Step 3. Push the 'I' button once again to finish. You should hear a chime if your new password has been set successfully.
Step 4. Keep the door forced open and check again whether the new password opens the door properly. If not, go back to Step 1.

This worked perfectly, (although I had to hold down the button for a while to input and confirm the code). Thank you! Now I can put my hagwon boss paranoia to rest. He is almost never in his office... |

Thanks for this. Was getting paranoid regarding crime lately. |

Regarding crime:
It took approximately four seconds for burglars to pop open our similar lock last Chuseok.
Now we have one of those heavy duty keys that looks like a twist with a bunch of teeth (hard to explain), as well as SECOM security.
Unfortunately, my wife's engagement ring isn't coming back any time soon.
More evidence:
My coworker forgot her key code her first weekend in Korea. Our boss called a "locksmith" who showed up with a crowbar to open her door.
If you are at all concerned with actual security (and not just a minor deterrence) I'd recommend looking into some different lock options. |

I have the same lock on my door.
Has anybody had to deal with the battery dying on them? It didn't work when I came back from work today, my phone is inside, and apparently a locksmith is just going to smash it, and charge me 100k+ to put on a new lock.
Supposedly you can 'easily' apply a 9v to get it to work, but I can't find instructions on that. |
