"We accused the North Koreans of amping things up, now we are worried we did the same thing," one Defense Department official said.

You would think, after nearly 50 years of "dealing" with NK, US leadership would have figured some of this out long ago.

On second thought.......

"We are absolutely trying to ratchet back the rhetoric," the official said. "We become part of the cycle. We allowed that to happen."

Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me eleventy billion times........whatever.

And don't forget, the US media lapdog will pounce on ANY opportunity to keep Americans in a state of fear. It's much easier to strip people of their constitutional rights, when they are afraid and pliant.
