Here's a page with links to various social service agencies in Korea:

Here's a page with links to some orphanages in Korea:

As far as specific recommendations go, I really couldn't say, although I imagine that the Korean Red Cross and Holt Children's Services won't skim too much off the top before it gets to those who need it.

Why does all charity money continually go to the human race? There are thousands of bird species out there, most of them on the verge of extinction thanks to the selfish destruction of the environment by man..Korea is a prime example. If you want to help protect the environment here, and wildlife in general, i strongly suggest a very worthy charity struggling here in Korea:wbkenglish. Check out their website, with details of how to donate to their work:

And how many birds have donated to human charities? Let `em raise their own money.

Go for Amnesty International. They have a Korean branch in Seoul.

Birds rapier? Alright, I guess, but...

I suggest the op help out the most disadvantaged species in Korea: cats.

Donate to one of the national advocacy and care groups or a local shelter.

Few Koreans care enough to help them.

The con man is an unscrupulous person who will stop at nothing to take your hard earned money from you. It's important that we get rid of this type of person. How do you do this? Just send any donations you have to:

I know of a charity in Korea that helps the orphans of Filipino/Korean couples. The Filipino mothers get pregnant and cannot leave Korea because they cannot take their children out of Korea. They have to work during the week and leave the children, ostracized by the Korean fathers, in a Catholic orphanage.

Thanks for the replies guys,

There are a few of us organising it, so I'll pass round the suggestions,
Actually I almost forgot, I know a girl who helps counsel and help filipino girls who try to leave their jobs as "waitresses" near the US bases,
So if her organisation needs some cash, it'll probably go there.
But I'll throw around all the ideas,

If anyone is interested in attending the event, it's a pubquiz / fancy dress / games night at a bar near Kyoung Hee University in YongTong Dong, Suwon..... the fancy dress rules will be wavered for late entries.

5000won entry fee, and it promises to be quite a night,
This Saturday night

If anyone is interested let me know either here, through PM or email at
