|

I've been using an old 2G phone (free) for calls and a Galaxy Player for a touch/tablet/wifi device. I cannot justify the expense of a data plan, etc. I heard from a student that the Galaxy S3 can now be purchased for about $200 though... is this true? And, if it is true, might one be able to have it as a pay as you go phone (PPS)? |

The used market on an S3 is still 400+. I can't answer your other questions but 200 is S2 territory. If I were you I'd look at a Galaxy Nexus instead. Better software and you can still get it serviced at any Samsung repair centre. When the S4 arrives S3 prices should plummet. The Note was very expensive then dropped dramatically after the Note 2 launched, S3 should be the same. |

yeah, wait until the end of this month if you are in the market for an s3. when the s4 is announced in a few days the s3 will lose much of it's market value. |

I'm not really too smart phone savvy. So, I just need to look around for an 'unlocked' phone, then take it to a shop and tell them to convert it to a PPS contract? |
