Anyone know of a bike-shop that will do a proper tune-up? My bike has been sitting in the apartment all winter and needs a proper cleaning and re-greasing/lubing. I don't have the space or tools to do it myself.
I went by the Giant shop in Hapjeong, but they said they only do it in the winter as they're too busy from spring-fall. |

Any bike shop should do it for you. I'm surprised Giant @Hapjeong won't. Try calling them and making an appointment. Or going really early. There are a lot of small bike shops around Hongdae/Hapjeong that will do it as well. |

Go to the Trek website. It lists all their dealers in Seoul, including two who do custom fits. |

I don't know what you mean by "proper cleaning". You probably just have to actually ride it a little. If nothing is wrong, why "clean". I just don't get it. Also, your chain will have the same quantity of grease on it that was on it when you parked it. Usually, water makes that come off. Like, if you ride in the rain a lot you will have to get the mechanic to grease up the chain again.
I am great friends with my local mechanic. He is not afraid to tell me that it's fine and that there's actually nothing wrong and no work to do. You should do that , too, make friends with some mechanic on your usually-travelled route.
No need to prepare for a breakdown. There's a bike shop on every corner if you need one. |

Gasoline and an old rag on the road does a great job on gunky gears. A portable wd40 in your handlebar bag takes care of most squeaks. |
