|
|
Hi everyone. My flight will be leaving soon to depart for South Korea and I've just found out that my package from The Arrival Store will not be ready waiting at my apartment for me due to my payment not going through PayPal when I first bought everything and I had to re-do it just recently.
My question is: what can I expect in the apartment? I know it varies from apartment to apartment, but am I correct in assuming (dreading) that I will be left with a rock hard bare bed and no couch until my package with a mattress pad and blankets arrives? Questions concerning the neighborhood and furnishings of my apartment were met with pretty much zero answers by the recruiters. I think at one point they said some along the lines of they basically have no idea where the apartment will be until they know I have a flight booked. I will roll with the punches I just want to get an idea of what I'll be dealing with.
Are power converters easily found? I will be in Seoul. My package also has a power converter. I'm going to need that to use my alarm clock to make it to work, so I'm just wondering if I'm going to have to hunt for one. Perhaps in the airport would be the best bet? |

expect; air con, tv, bed (condition may vary depending on the thoughtfulness of the teacher preceding you), fridge, washing machine. everything else i would consider a bonus (blankets, plates cutlery etc. ). this again depends on the pre-teacher and school. just make sure you have a bit of spare change and time to do a wee bit of shopping when you get here.
convertors, no idea. |

You don't need a 'power converter' to use your alarm clock. Just buy the cheap plug adapter and it should work fine. In my case, I've always had a bed with sheets and a pillow, tv, washing machine, air con, and basic cutlery. |

Where are you in Seoul? What neighbourhood? This will probably determine the size of your apartment. The closer to the city centre you are, the chances of your apartment being a shoe box increase dramatically. Especially if you're in Gangnam. |
