Hello I am looking for a person or people who are flying from Korea to Vancouver to fly with a dog. The cost for the dog would be covered but we need the dog to be traveling with someone. We are trying to get some of the rescued dogs out of Korea to their new adoptive homes in Canada and or the USA. We are always looking for people flying back to take a dog with them.

Sorry, when you say 'rescue dogs', do you mean dogs that are trained in rescuing people and the like?

What is this thing with foreign English teachers constantly 'rescuing' dogs and cats here? On multiple occasions on our local Facebook page I've seen girls rescuing dogs then asking other people to donate money to pay the vet fees for them. If they can't pay themselves they shouldn't get involved

I understand when people say we should focus on dogs in our home countries. Focusing on issues in our home countries should apply to a lot of things, poverty, adoption, education, animal welfare etc.

I am not asking anyone for money, I am just trying to give a couple dogs a better life.

Not to be mean, but this makes no sense to me.

1. I really don't see how it makes sense financially. There are tons of dogs in Can/US that could use that attention/funds. Flying a stray in from another country just seems like a massive misallocation of funds.

2. Asking someone to import an unknown animal into their home country also strikes me as having inherent risks. Heck, we're not even supposed to let someone hold our bags before a flight, but here, we're supposed to bring an animal in the country attached to our flight - and bear ALL the responsibilities that may include.

Sorry, man. I think your intent is good, but there's just too much wrong with this.

I never said I cared about dogs more than people. I just wanted some help shipping a couple dogs.

Look, I never meant to piss anyone off.
I don't disagree with what Captain Corea is saying. All I wanted was to help out a couple dogs.

There are a myriad of things we can do to help animals, people, children in our own countries. And I do contribute in my home country as well.

Now, if someone could so kindly tell me how to delete this topic I will.

OP, don't delete your topic. You asked a sensible question and deserve an earnest response.

This shouldn't be an issue to start an argument over. If the OP had posted an article or something, fine. I have my own opinions (and anyone who has seen me post on dogs knows they aren't the most PETA-friendly), but the OP is doing something that affects none of us and is not based in argument. Yes, it was a solicitation, but not one deserving of much negativity.

You are spending money on dogs, that could be spent helping people. It is not all I see here, and I often find I like dogs more than some people, but I cannot agree on spending money on a dog rather than a sain person.
