What in particular are you looking for, anyway? This food concept doesn't really exist in Korea, as far as I know, but I could be mistaken. Either way, you can find plenty of whole grain and other low-glycemic foods in iHerb. I'm quite a fan of Optimum Nutrition's Oats and Whey powder. But there may be other good alternatives as well. If you decide to order from iHerb, feel welcome to PM me with any questions. Coupon code xap021 will get you $5 - 10 off your first order. Most importantly, shipping to Korea is cheap : p

There are grain-based meal replacement drinks available in Korea. They will certainly have them at an organic food coop store and if you know where to look probably at HomePlus or the like.

I think I've seen weight watcher drinks at eMart or Homeplus.

I second this. I was mistaken that there's no concept of meal replacement here, as some Koreans use this for their breakfast. They're known as 미숫가루 (mi-sut-ga-ru), and the powder will come in one big bag. The powders often contain a mix of roasted rice and barley and possibly beans and other grains as well. This is different from 율무차 (yul-mu-cha), which is slightly sweet and will come in single-serving sachets.

You can find 미숫가루 all around. If you can't speak Korean well, just write it in Hangul and show the staff at the nearest supermarket.

Yeah, but these are like Gatorade. Much of their cost comes from convenience of the packaging and shipping of all that water, not from the substance of the product.

This is another drink to consider http://www.iherb.com/Nature-s-Way-Metabolic-Reset-Weight-Loss-Shake-Mix-Vanilla-Flavor-1-4-lbs-630-g/5885 It's expensive, however. Still, this is more like a meal-replacement drink than Oats & Whey, since it's fortified with vitamins and minerals.

If either product in iHerb is too expensive, go with 미숫가루. Finding one that contains beans will likely make it as a more complete protein source.

As a general comment on weight loss, if you're trying to lose fat and not general body weight, you'll want to consume more protein. Still, much of the body's energy should come from slowly metabolized fats and carbohydrates. That's why I originally suggested Oats & Whey. As a last comment, consider the calorie density of what you eat. Consuming plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables will supply essential nutrients and make you feel fuller, yet won't add terribly much to your daily calorie intake. Korean dubu (tofu) is also filling and a good source of protein, without being calorie dense.

At E-Mart you can find some meal replacement powdered drink under the brand BDlabs. 'Beauty and Diet'? I can't recall for sure. Didn't look at it closely, not sure of the ingredients. Can be found among the boxed cereals.
