I have been waiting on a criminal report since October 2012. I will be unable to work as of April 15th and face getting kicked out of the country by April 29th. I am not able to extend my visa any more.

I wonder if anyone knows of a fast reliable way to get a criminal report from Canada RCMP. I am more than willing to pay a premium as the other option I have to going to Canada to get one faster.

There are a few sites that advertise fast criminal reports. Has anyone used them and been ok?

Honestly? Go back to Canada and you'll have it within 10 days. I did it in 2011. Pricey? Yes. Will it get the job done? Yes.

10 days? Here in Ottawa, you can can get same-day national/provincial background checks done. There's a small fee associated with it.

If you have someone at home in Canada you can trust, sign over power of attorney, and they can go to an RCMP detachment and get one for you.

You can get your CRC from RCMP in 2 weeks. I used this company, they work with the RCMP (hard to imagine you didn't find this on google over this amount to time. Smile There is also another site that offers the same type service if you google.)

http://www.fingerscan.ca/2160-2/

When they recieved my info by mail, it took 1 week for them to get the CRC letter from RCMP. Just have to take into account mailing it to them from Korea, and them mailing it back to you express mail. My experience, it takes Korea post 4 days to mail it to Toronto, and the courier service from Canada took 6 days (stupid private service from Canada was more expensive and took longer than public Korean postal system)

Why is it faster? This company can take the printed fingerprints and convert into into digital right away. RCMP takes months to convert the fingerprints to digital. I came across this company by luck and got my check within 2 weeks and got my job => it cost me about $150 + $100 back for courier service. More expensive than $25 plus mail for direct RCMP check but totally worth it. Email this company and they will respond to your question right away. Do it, well worth.

Get a 30 day tourist visa if you need time.

Network. Do you know anyone, or know anyone who knows anyone, who works for the RCMP or provincial police?

In my case, my CRC was going to expire 4 days after my recruiters received it, I made some inquiries, and an obscure relative in the OPP was able to get me a new one in 2 days.
