Does anyone know of a shop in Seoul to sell pre-owned books besides the buy/sell forum here and what the book store?

Thank you

There's another second hand book store if you walk from what the book to the gyeongnidan area. I forget the name, but it's pretty visible.

Yes, English language. I don't think they have Korean books.

The foreign used bookstore right across from Noksapyeong station, next to the Lexus dealership, has the best buy-back deal, I find, better than What the book. WTB seems to be much more selective in what they will buy back. No real problems with any book at the second hand store, seems the guy there will buy almost anything as long as it's in decent shape.

What kind of money are you talking about? I was tempted to send a box to a used book store without asking for any money in exchange.

What The **** books buys used books in Seoul on Itaewano street. Actually it's called What The Book. It's a really good used bookstore in Seoul if not the only used one of any consequence.

Not a lot. For a straight buyback, the guy in Noksapyeong offers about 500-1,000/mass paperback, ~1500 for a hardcover.

I always use it for exchange, and most books were his that I'm returning to him from a previous visit. If I bring 4-5 books, I can get about 2-3 free of charge. I end up paying less than 10,000 for 5-6 paperbacks if I trade in about the same amount. I'm not terribly fussy in what I read, though.

Won't recommend it if you're looking to 'sell' them and actually get real money back, or looking for specific titles, as his displays and selection are random. It's a bit like rummaging through a yard sale. Most paperbacks are between 4-6 thousand, older/more damaged are 2-4, hardback closer to 8-10 and up.
