My husband and I taught English in Korean public schools a couple years ago, and we are now interested in returning to Korea.
However, as I have several regular clients for whom I do freelance graphic design and copyediting, we are considering only my husband teaching on a E-2 visa, and I would get an F-3 (trailing spouse) visa.
What I'm trying to find out is whether I can legally continue to serve my U.S. clients remotely, if the income goes straight to U.S. bank accounts and we pay U.S. income taxes on it? I'm sure this happens all the time, including by those teaching on E-2 visas who monetize blogs about their ESL adventures, but I'd like to stay above board if at all possible.
Thoughts? Thanks so much for your help! |

Technically, no since on an F3 you are technically "resident" in Korea.
Realistically, yes since it is entirely outside of Korean jurisdiction and flies outside of their purview.
