Hi all! I'm about to be a college graduate with a bachelor's in political science and will be TEFL-certified by August. I am seeking an English teaching position in Seoul or Jeju Island. Have any of you worked with fantastic universities or Hagwons that you would highly recommend for an American with no teaching experience?
Thanks!

Why are you just limiting it to just these two?

With just a freshly minted BA in an unrelated dicipline, you can forget proper university positions. Most people in your shoes either pay their dues at a hakwon or a public school, and then make the move to a university position after a year or two. With some experience and your certification, you might be able to land a lower tier university gig, but to really cement a position with a university, most people knock out their MA (either on-line or 'back home' at a b&m).

There are institutes at many universities (commonly refered to as unigwons) that hire people with just the BA. The ones with exceptional pay and employment conditions can afford to be picky, though, and generally insist on the MA.

Best of luck to you.
