Explosive detonated at private English institute in Daegu
http://english.donga.com/srv/service.php3?bicode=040000&biid=2013042317138

Quote:

A handmade bomb exploded at a private English academy for elementary students in Daegu. There were no casualties because it happened before the academy opened class for the day. Fliers signed in the name anti-American, anti-fascist struggle committee were scattered at the facility.

Two large men were caught on cameras but apparently are still walking around. Needless to say be careful as these guys are capable of anything. This story is in the "Archives" section although the timeline is today. Does anyone have more information about this story?

It sounds like the hagwon was targeted because of its name.

Quote:
The intention was indeed to strike against America. Unfortunately for the terrorists, they ended up torching a private, Korean-owned English academy.

We were so relieved to find out later that the academy just used the name American Center, said a police officer at the Suseong Police Precinct.

If this is Kim Jong Un's response, pretty lame.

Sometime within the past two weeks Daegu had another incident. A man in his 30's walked into a high school and shot at some female students.

The difference between the Boston Bombers and these guys is? Failure.

Find them, give them a trial and execute them.

I doubt they would get the death penalty.

In February 2010, South Korea's Highest Court upheld the death penalty in a 5-4 decision, but analysts say it is unlikely that executions will resume.[3]

In March 2010, in contrast of prior speculations, South Korea's Justice Minister Lee Kwi-nam hinted that the executions of death row inmates will continue, breaking the virtual 13-year moratorium.[4] The remarks came few days after Kim Kil-tae, who raped and murdered a 15 year old schoolgirl, was convicted.

The end of the article:

A police source said, We have confirmed that there is no organization with the official name of anti-American, anti-fascist struggle committee in Korea.

There you have it, folks! The people who bombed the school don't exist. Brilliant police work!

Haha. Most of those idiots are living overseas. They are definitely the type of losers to do something so stupid however.
