Hello, everyone.
I'm a former native teacher in Korea and would like to see if there are any current teachers interested in this offer.
I'm currently doing some work for the Rick Hansen Foundation and we have some copies of "Rick Hansen: Canadian Hero" by Edward O'Connor to give away. It's essentially a 16-page picture book about Rick Hansen, suitable for elementary school children in North America.
The book is about Rick Hansen, a Canadian who was paralyzed from a spinal cord injury sustained in an accident, and pushed his wheelchair around the world to raise money for spinal cord injury research and accessibility projects. That has since turned into a non-profit agency (the one I'm currently working with) -- one of the largest in Canada.
I'm pretty sure this would make great teaching material for some of you in Korea.
All I would ask for is covering the cost of shipping (the books are fairly light so it shouldn't be too much).
If you are interested, please give me an e-mail -- acheng at rickhansen dot com.
