I worked at a hagwon in Seoul for 8 months. I quit my job and returned to America due to a family emergency. I gave them 5 weeks notice and they did give me a Letter of Release when I left. I'd like to go back to Korea and am looking for a job at another school. My visa was suppose to be valid until September 2013. I've been back in the States for almost a month. When I find another job, will I have to go through the whole visa process again (background check, degree, etc - which took ages), or does Immigration still have all my information on file?

Thanks!

When you left, did you hand in your ARC?

If yes, then you will need to start again and probably with new docs.
If no, then you probably won't need new docs until you hit the 90-day mark outside of the country (then they are required again).

If you are trying for a PS position then you will need new docs for sure regardless.

Did the school report your finishing to immigration? If not, then you might be ok.

I'm not sure if they did report it to immigration. I imagine they probably would have? Fingers crossed!
