I have a security card thing from KB and used it with no trouble last year, but now when I try to book a flight it seems there is some extra certificate needed.

Anyone got an English guide to what the pop-up is asking for?

I tried Chrome to get a translation and then went to IE to book, but a 2nd box appeared and it was full of ???? marks.

If you're spending more than w300,000 you need digital certificate confirmation.

If you've used KB Internet Banking you have a digital certificate, but they are only good for one year before they need to be renewed.

Unfortunately they have changed the security procedures yet again it took me half an hour last time I tried to buy something from gmarket.

As the previous poster said using a computer with Korean OS is a good idea and you can always try to call Samsung Cards English line on 1688-8751 to see if they can talk you through it.

Even if you try an overseas website you need verified by visa or some such thing to make a purchase and its all in Korean.

Cheers for the replies. There is a good ending to this story - I looked at the Korean Air flights again and saw that they were actually operated by a partner (KLM). I then booked directly with KLM and got a better price - and NO security window. Good result.

I do have a few months left on the certificate, just wish they would stop changing things.
