What exactly are the purple shopping bags I keep getting to carry my groceries from the supermarkets in Seoul? Can these be used as trash bags too?
They have some similar writing on to the green and orange trash bags I get from 7-11. |

Yes, you can use them for trash bags. |

Just like the regular green ones? Not for food waste or recyclables I presume? |

I think they are designated recyclable bags. |

The color depends on your city/gu. Different cities/gus use different colors. But yeah, those are the garbage bags. They charge you on the receipt for them. 50 won for a paper bag, but the plastic ones are more, so if you don't need the garbage bags, bring your own cloth bags or old plastic/paper bags. |
