It is about the nonsense censoring of various sites and blogs. Joel has got a petition going and everyone should sign it. At the moment there are only a few names on it but add yours as soon as possible, make your voice heard.
The censorship has to stop. |

Isn't this an issue that Koreans should settle amongst themselves? |

Certainly not.
Are you in favour of Orwellian 1984 styles of controlling what information people can and cannot have access to? If it only affected showings of the video of the poor Korean chap getting his head chopped off then I would not really be that concerned but it is affecting many sites.
It is blanket censorship, very irresponsible and the thin end of the wedge.
If you have any value in the concept of freedom then sign the damn petition and if you think it is a Korean only issue then get all your Korean pals to sign it too. |

No. Why should it? Korea is trying to fashion a nation that's friendly to foreign investment. Cutting off access to seemingly innocuous web sites doesn't contribute to the greater notion of Korea being a great place to locate your Asian regional HQ, a branch plant, and your family.
There is nothing wrong with sending the message "Hey, this isn't a great thing for making Korea appealing for foreign investment." |
