Not meaning to make this thread into anything controversial, but are there any Buddhist groups in the Seoul area that just focus on meditation?
In the US and in Korea I've met teachers affiliated with 화계사. But I really did not feel their presence was particularly positive. They seemed more like people who took already disordered personalities and applied them to a position of authority / teaching. To add to that, the the founding monk slept with his students whilst claiming to be celibate.
I really value meditation and would like to meet others do as well. Any recommendations? |
