Long story short, after food and many beers while my buddy was in the washroom the girl came and took away his beer which was clearly not empty. He complained and they gave him a pint glass with a small amount of beer in it.

We ended up getting charged for an odd number of beers when we went toe to toe drinking. Doesn't make sense. They didn't seem to care.

Rather than make a stink I'd rather just not go back there and will encourage my friends to do the same.

/rant

Crappy servers = no business from us, learn how to do your job and ask before taking a drink away rather than spite your customer and charge them an extra beer. You suck.

That's really some shady stuff that waitress pulled taking your beer off the table when you weren't around to finish it.
I would have definitely complained and never returned, too.

You should place a beermat or similar on top of the glass in future, let's staff know you aren't done with it.

Any staff member with an IQ beyond double figures should know the *remaining beer in the glass* on the table of a *person who hasn't yet paid the tab* means they aren't done with it. It's not rocket science and barring borderline retardation is an inexcusable action for a waiter/waitress in a bar.

Or maybe they were just sick of listening to your loud, obnoxious American voice? Twisted Evil

I vote for loud obnoxious American voice!! Or perhaps the nasal whine/whinge Canadian voice. Either can drive a bar staff up a wall.

I might pay them a visit this weekend, to see if they are really all that bad. I doubt it, personally. Smile

Sorry, by many I meant 4 each. Certainly enough that I can remember everything.

I've brought a ton of people into this place. It's setup nicely, has good food deals, sports on TV, a free pool table. It's a slice of Itaewon right in the heart of Gangnam. Gangnam could use some more foreigner-friendly places. I'm sure I'll give them another chance after I cool off. I posted after heading to another bar and getting wasted lolz, still doesn't mean it didn't happen.

That said, Icon lounge in Gangnam has started rejecting foreigners on weekends, and we were told Ho Bar 2 was "Koreans only" for a particular night. I've been in Seoul for 5 years and have probably been to 2 dozen Ho Bars and have never once been told that.

Lets see...after MANY beers..yeah ok your account of the situation and recollection of the events has to be crystal clear and completely free of confusion. I mean we all know the MORE beer you drink, the MORE lucid one becomes. Laughing

My coworker is getting married soon and went to this place to see about having the reception/after party there and said that they were short, rude, and he didn't even finish asking questions - just crossed it off the list.

I've never been there but from all I've heard about the place, nothing said puts it near the top of my list...

I poked my head in there once, seemed lame. Now that I know they are beer stealers I won't give it a second try. Thank you good sir.
