http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-22519384

Quote:
A prominent Japanese politician has described as "necessary" the system by which women were forced to become prostitutes for World War II troops.

Osaka Mayor Toru Hashimoto said the "comfort women" gave soldiers putting their lives at risk a chance "to rest".

He acknowledged that the women had been acting "against their will".

Some 200,000 women in territories occupied by Japan during WWII are estimated to have been forced into becoming sex slaves for troops.

I'm just waiting for this story to hit the Korean press!

It shouldn't take too long, I just emailed them it! Twisted Evil

Considering Japan's current aggressive monetary policy, I would not take the OP's advice.

According to wiki, Lotte was first established in Japan and the headquarters is located in Tokyo. I've never liked Lotte and I think the Korean Shinsegae/E-mart is a lot better.

Hashimoto will get some deserved stick for this. Unbelievable thing to say, considering the history of tension in Asia. What a tool.

Is anyone surprised by politicians anymore these days?

Nations governed by imbeciles - if you watch the film 'Idiocracy' - you know it's only going to get worse.

I keep thinking that it's Bush that really started the whole 'dumb and dumber' competition among the politicians.
